Graduation Day is so bittersweet. Even as a teacher. I am so excited and proud of my students, and so glad to be done with some and so sad to lose others.
I worry about her. She has so much going for her. She has a full ride scholarship to a college because she is an amazing basketball player. She is smart and could be so successful, if she makes the right decisions. If there is any student I want to save...it would be her. I pray she stays away from drugs and hope she believes in herself half as much as we do.
Some of my favorite boys who I will miss teasing me on a daily basis.

I can tell from your pictures that you are such an amazing teacher and your students absolutely love you. They will always remember you and you will always be a part of their lives. What a great example!

Oh, graduation was always hard on me too. You do fel like a parent: so proud, so excited, yet so aware of the momentous change they're undergoing and all the things that can go right...and wrong. You're such a good example to these kids.
