Flower Friday

I went to the Phoenix Art Museum on Friday to see thier fabulous Southwest Blooms exhibit. It was awesome. Floral designers imitated various paintings and this is what they came up with. I don't know why this is underlined. Bug...They also had modern dancers performing in one of the wings of the museum. It was a date with myself that couldn't have been more up my alley.

Some of the designs looked a lot like the paintings..Like this one. And others weren't so dead on. It smelled amazing in every room of the museum from all of the flowers. I wish they did this more often. I would spend every Friday night at the museum.

I love this painting but mostly I love the awesome frame.

This picture doesn't do the painting or flowers justice. It was awesome and looked just like the picture. I also go to meet the floral designer who is out of work. So sad. She is awesome.

I didn't really get this one.

This flower arrangement was cool with the metal wrapped around the wood. And the face looks very similar.


This picture was so pretty in person. I wanted to take it off the wall and put it in my car. Maybe another day.

Didn't really love this one.

This painting was so weird to me. If you look close, there are several phallic symbols in blue. I just didn't quiet get it, and wasn't too impressed with the flower arrangement either.

This was my favorite arrangement. I love the red roses and the red water. It was just simple. But looked a lot like the painting.
