A. Shamrock Shakes

Shamrock Milk Shake
This is a copycat recipe.
1 cup vanilla ice cream, slightly thawed
1/2 cup milk
1/8 tsp. mint extract or flavoring
4 to 5 drops green food coloring
Preparation - Pour all the ingredients into a blender and blend at a medium speed for about 30 to 40 seconds or to the consistency of a milk shake
B. Mini Eggs

Its a good thing they don't sell these year round...I love love love them. We always had a debate in highschool about which were better, Cadbury Mini Eggs or Hershey's Eggs. Sorry Em Whitney the statistics still show these are preferred two to one...
C. LifeSavers Pastels

Okay..The best ones are the pink ones. Cotton Candy! Need I say more. My next favorite is yellow..Banana. Green..Watermelon. Purple...Rasberry. Yum...

Paige...you don't need to remind me about the eggs! Um... they have been an obsession for a few years now!! They really are the best. Did you know they had them at Christmas this year? Deadly! I'm glad you have a blog, it's fun to read!
I live for Shamrock shakes - it made my day the other day when Ben said "Guess what they have at McDonald's?" I was kinda mad because I thought it was McRibs (his favorite seasonal item), which make me wanna ralph - but it was my favorite minty treat!
I need to try those lifesavers - they look yummy. I think my FAVORITE seasonal item is eggnog custard from Nielsen's - I could live off of that stuff. I guess Rainbow Snows are seasonal too - it's a tough call. I'm so craving a peach Rainbow Snow now - remember when the one in B-town got held up at gunpoint?
Paige I love the Pastel Lifesaver candy, but I have them on suckers. Pink is my favorite too! I think I even have a bag left over from last year that I was saving for this year.
And the Chocolate Cadbury Eggs... so so so so much better than the Hersey's Eggs.....Hands down.
I've never had the Shamrock Shakes, but you can be sure I'm trying one this week. Thanks for the ideas.
Paige, the cotton candy life savers are the BEST ever! Thanks for reminding me those existed.
And Linds, I can't wait for Rainbo Snow Shacks to open because they have one in Cottonwood Heights that puts cream in them. I freaking love the Tiger's blood. Yum.
Paige...I was so excited to see your comment on my blog....my long lost Paige! I'm so excited that I get to keep up on you now. And I was cracking up when I saw the picture of the Shamrock Shake because we've been counting down the days until our yearly month of indulging...my husband is obsessed with them and I had my first one last year...to die for!
Paige! Thanks for reminding me about the Shamrock Shakes. You should submit this blog into McDonalds and see if you can get a cut of all the customers you steered their way. Your blog makes me hungry.
