I got to pick her up from the shelter and spend Friday night with her. We had so much fun. We went the the volleyball banquet where she won the Crittenton Sports Program award. This award is for the player with the highest GPA. The cumulative GPA of the seven girls on the team is a 3.8. Bless their little hearts for having such hard lives and still doing so well in school. I won the Crittenton Sports Fan of the season, for attending every game. I of course got all teary when I read the card that the girls wrote me...Things like, "thanks for believing in us." Times like these are when I love my job the very most...

The banquet was in our school cafeteria which happens to be named Cafe Elizabeth. This is her in front of the mural on the wall...

With one of the painted people in the caf...

She wasn't ready to go home after the banquet, so I kept her up until the minute of her curfew and then some...(We did call and let them know we would be late, like responsible teenagers...) We decided we needed to go to TGIFridays for dessert to finish the night off.

Paigie I just love you and your big heart. The world is a better place because you are in it!
Gosh P, you are so sweet - I love her vicariously through you.
Oh PS: I just noticed that pic of you and peanut-butter - I think that's one of my all-time faves...
What a fun job. Those girls are so lucky to have you.
Shoot me an e-mail and let me know where you work, and what you do exactly. It reminds me a little of my major (Rec. Therapy).
Keep warm... we're freezing up here!
